How hard is AICE?
The whole AICE program is overseen by a branch of the University of Cambridge. The classes are hard, and most are offered at two levels: the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level, and the Advanced (A) Level. AS Level classes are one year long and less demanding than their A Level counterparts, which are two years in length.
Does Harvard recognize AICE?
– All of the Ivies recognize AICE classes. Harvard for example: “The minimum required for advanced standing credit is 3 A Levels with Grade A. If this is awarded then one year of academic credit is given.” But definitely check all of their websites for updated information, especially during COVID-19!
Is AICE General Paper easy?
It will not be easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is. After the year of lessons you will be given an exam in May, 2020. This exam will determine whether or not you receive college credit. The exam consists of two sections (or Papers, as they are called in AICE).
Are AICE classes weighted?
AP, IB, AICE, and DE courses get a full point of weight. For example, an A in AP English Language or ENC1101 would be counted as 5.0 in your overall GPA. The only exception is for D’s and F’s. These grades are never weighted, regardless of curricular level.
