As cider is made from apples that are naturally gluten-free and is made by fermenting apple juice with yeast and sugar, it is a safe drink for anyone with a gluten sensitivity. Unlike brewers yeast which is a by-product of beer brewing, the yeast used for fermenting cider is naturally gluten free.

Somersby cider is gluten-free. During the production we don’t use wheat or cereal-based ingredients that would usually be a source of gluten. Is Kopparberg cider gluten free?
All Kopparberg ciders contain less than 5 ppm of gluten. Products containing less than 20 ppm of gluten are considered gluten-free according to EU legislation. According to these numbers our cider is gluten free, but we recommend our customers to be careful and try a small amount of our products to see the reaction.
